Connor Redmond Reassigned To The BCHL

The Vancouver Giants have reassigned forward Connor Redmond to the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL. The Maple Ridge, BC native has suffered from multiple shoulder injuries over the last two seasons and as a result only played 51 regular season games with the Giants, picking up 6 goals, 1 assist, 7 points, and 60 penalty minutes. He also played 18 playoff games, chipping in with 1 assist and 6 penalty minutes. Off the ice, Redmond was the team’s Humanitarian of the Year last season, leading the way in a number of community programs the Giants take part in. The move to the BCHL will give the 19 year old an opportunity to play on a regular basis and get his game back.

“Connor has been an exemplary citizen for our organization”, said Executive Vice-President and General Manager Scott Bonner. “We understand how hard it has been for him to deal with his string of injuries, but he has been a true professional through it all and we wish him the best of luck with the Express.”
