Sexsmith Attends Hockey Canada Goalie Camp

The Vancouver Giants congratulate goaltender TYSON SEXSMITH (left) on being named to Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence Camp. Sexsmith is one of eight goalies in the under-20 category who are attending the camp that are eligible to play for Canada's National Junior Team. The camp is being held in Calgary, Alberta June 12-15.

Sexsmith is coming off his second season in the Western Hockey League with the Giants. Last season, he led all WHL netminders in goals against average (1.89) and shut-outs (9) while posting an overall record of 43-11-2-6.

The native of Priddis, Alberta was drafted in the third round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks (91st overall). Sexsmith is taking part in his second straight Program of Excellence Camp.
