Day Two Complete at Giants Camp

Ladner BC - The games continued today at Day Two of Main Camp...

Game One on day Two began with Team White and Team Black squaring off. James Henry scored his third goal of the pre-season for Black, and Jonathon Parker scored his first regulation goal of camp as the two teams battled to a 1-1 tie. Game Two saw Team White get a goal from Evander Kane and an empty netter from Lance Bouma in a 2-0 shutout win. Jamie Tucker was sharp in goal for White, making a number of key saves to keep his team in front and leading White to a victory.

In the second set of games, Grey and Black hooked up in a pair of contests. Grey Captain Jonathon Blum scored the winner and Adam Basford notched the insurance as Grey shutdown Black 2-0. In the second game, Andrej Kudrna continues to impress as he, Gary Rai and Alexander Milhouse scored for Team Black in a 3-1 Black victory. Josh Stephenson lit the lamp for Grey in defeat.

The final games of the evening featured White taking on Grey. In the opener, Casey Pierro-Zabotel popped a pair of goals, leading Grey to a 4-1 win. Brendan Gallagher and Adam Basford also scored for Grey while Evander Kane banged in another goal for White. In the final game of the evening, it was the Evander Kane show, as Kane popped both goals with a little help from Misha Fisenko, White 2-0 over Grey.

Day Two is now in the books....the Giants will cut down to two teams overnight and get prepped for the final couple of days of camp. Black will take on White Tuesday at 6 pm, followed by a game on Wednesday night at 7
pm.
