Blazers take out Giants 4-3
Kamloops BC - The Kamloops Blazers fought back from a 3-1 deficit to edge the Vancouver Giants 4-3 in the shootout tonight in Kamloops. The Giants had leads of 2-0 and 3-1 before the Blazers stormed back, courtesy of their power play. Dalibor Bortnak and Michal Siska scored power play goals late in the 2nd period to equalize for the Blazers. A scoreless 3rd period and overtime led to the shootout, where CJ Stretch was able to beat Jamie Tucker high glove side as the final Blazers shooter and lift the Blazers to the victory. James Wright, Evander Kane and Casey Pierro Zabotel scored for the Giants while Shayne Wiebe potted his fourth goal of the season for the Blazers.
